Project Overview:
This project consisted of the construction of a new Skagit County Community Justice Center. The 100,000 sq foot facility has four times the inmate capacity as the previous jail facility. The new facility is able to accomodate 400 inmates and designed to expand up to 800 beds if necessary. In addition to inmate facilities the complex includes office space, a medical clinic, food services, inmate programs and a courtroom.
Services Provided:
GeoTest provided inspection and smoke testing of inderslab vapor barrier during construction. Inert smoke was introduced underneath slab vapor barriers to identify points of discontinuity or leakage prior to concrete slab placement.
